An Essay on Mother Teresa in English (Download PDF) – Mother Teresa was a great woman who devoted all her life to serving the poor and needy people. She was born on 26 August 1910 in Macedonia. Mother Teresa was a woman who believed in God. She spent most of his life in the church.
After some time she became a nun in the church. She was 18 when Mother Teresa came to Kolkata and continued the mission to help the poor and needy here. Missionaries and Charity
‘Missionaries of Charity’, started in 1950, today has 244 centers in about 63 countries of the world, in which about 3000 ‘sisters’ and ‘brothers’ are regularly serving. Millions of sick people are provided free treatment in about 215 hospitals and medical centers set up in India.
There are sixty schools in India among the schools run in slums in the world and 70 centers for the care and upbringing of orphans, 81 houses to serve the elderly. There are about forty-five thousand old people living in other institutions like ‘Nirmal Hriday’ established in the Kalighat area of Calcutta, who go through the evening of life with happiness and peace.
Hundreds of centers operate through the Missionaries of Charity, in which thousands of free meals are provided to the destitute. Medicines and food items worth lakhs of rupees are distributed daily from all these centers.

Awards and Honours
Mother Teresa, who conducts the Akhand Yajna of the service of the suffering humanity, does not confer awards and other honours but only awards and honours are honoured in her hands and by her name. She has been honored by many institutions across the world for this work done by him.
