Good morning everyone.
My name is Rohan and today I have appeared before you to say something about Kashmir.
As we all know that Jammu and Kashmir is called ‘Paradise on Earth’ because of its amazing natural beauty and landscape. There are beautiful snow-capped mountains, natural lakes, and lush green valleys.
Kashmir is also known as the land of fruits and various fruits like pomegranate, apple, pear, peach, kiwi, plum, and cherry are extensively cultivated here.
Kashmir passes through three rivers Indus, Chenab, and Jhelum. All these river valleys divide this beautiful region into three valleys separated by high mountain ranges. The Indus Valley forms the north and north-eastern part of the region which includes the desolate and bare areas of Ladakh and Baltistan.
The landscape over the region, from the Pir Panjal, ranges to beautiful lush green meadows and meandering rivers, every inch of the Kashmir Valley is filled with beautiful and untouched pieces of nature.
Apart from the natural beauty of Kashmir, it is world famous for amazingly beautiful lakes, Himalayan ranges, old monuments, apples, saffron, and handicrafts. Also, the houseboat, which is a distinctive feature of Kashmir, has an interesting history.
Moreover, Sonamarg is a famous hill station and one of the most beautiful places to visit here. It is located in Ganderbal district, about 80 km from Srinagar. Its altitude is 2,730 meters which makes Sonamarg a prime spot for camping and trekking activities.

Long Speech on Kashmir
Good morning everyone.
My name is Arjun Tripathi and today I have got the opportunity to say something about Kashmir in front of you.
Jammu and Kashmir is a piece of heaven on earth and it is mostly situated in the Himalayan mountains. It is also the only region in India with the largest Muslim-majority population.
It is the northernmost geographical area of the Indian subcontinent. The beauty of Kashmir can never be expressed in words, pristine lakes, icy glaciers, picturesque mountains, green meadows, dense forests, flowing rivers, everything about Kashmir is so beautiful.
As you all know, Kashmir is often called ‘Paradise on Earth’, so you have to thank the Mughal Emperor Jahangir for this term.
The best and most convenient time to visit Kashmir is during the months of March to August. Tourists from all over the world come to the Kashmir Valley so that they too can enjoy seeing this ‘Paradise on Earth’. Two seasons are observed in Kashmir during this period. spring (early March to May) and summer (early May to late August).
The flowers of spring and the cool weather of summer make this the ideal season to visit Kashmir. This beauty of Kashmir is enough to take you to another realm altogether.
Let’s take a look at its history, Hindu dynasties ruled Kashmir till 1346, after which it came under Muslim rule. Muslim rule lasted for about five centuries, ending when Kashmir was annexed to the Sikh Kingdom of Punjab in 1819 and later to the Dogra Kingdom of Jammu in 1846.
The beautiful crown of India, Kashmir is known as Mini Switzerland. The main reason for this is the abundance of pine trees, snow-capped mountains, pleasant weather throughout the year, and lakes, mountains, landscapes, gardens, and valleys.
The valleys here are untamed and untouched. These beautiful nature valleys surrounded by majestic mountains reflect a certain level of mysticism. The attractive lakes here are crystal clear, stunning, and pristine. Srinagar has Nagin and Dal lakes which are stunning.
After Islamic rule in Kashmir, the culture of Kashmir was influenced by Central Asian and Persian cultures. In addition, Kashmiri culture has been heavily influenced by Hinduism, Buddhism, and later Islam.
One of the main reasons why Kashmir is considered ‘Paradise on Earth’ is the breathtaking landscapes that draw tourists here. Travelers from all over the world travel here to see this beautiful paradise, lush green meadows, and amazingly high mountain ranges.
All of you must also take time out and visit Kashmir once if you have not done so till now.
