I have a number of friends. All of them are intelligent and studious, but among all, Ram is my best friend. We are social animals, we cannot live without the association with other beings.
We need a good friend. ‘A friend in need is actually a friend’, is a famous saying, although a good friend is an honest person on whom we can depend in times of need. He is a good source of happiness, a true counselor, and a well-wisher. Not all our acquaintances are true friends. It is very difficult to have a perfect friend but I consider myself lucky to enjoy such a desired friend.
My best friend lives in my colony. We study in the same class but unfortunately in a different school. Although, he is tall, well-built, and has an athletic physique. He wears simple but clean clothes. Apart from this good behavior and being soft-spoken, he belongs to a good and respected family. His father works as a manager in a well-known private firm and his mother is a loving housewife. His elder sister is studying medicine. Whenever I go to their house, they treat me like a member of their family and I feel very comfortable talking to them. He is also treated at my house in the same way.

He is very special in my life. I do nothing without him. He is always in a good mood and never compromises on the wrong paths. He always does the right things and inspires everyone in the class to do the right thing. However, he keeps smiling even under his difficult circumstances and never lets his troubles get in his face. In particular, he is a good mentor and tries to explain anything and take care of his parents, grandparents, and other family members. He always respects himself and other older people in society. I met him for the first time when I was in second grade and now we both study in the same class of tenth.
We spend most of our time together studying and playing. He is good at studying, so whenever I have any problem or difficulty understanding the text, he helps me. We share our joys and sorrows. The best thing is that he has a sweet nature and a good sense. His good qualities have always enticed me to be like him.

We do not quarrel with each other, although we have somewhat different likes and dislikes. Some naughty boys in our colony try to create misunderstandings among us to capitalize on the differences between us but we always understand their jealousy and he is good not only in studies but also in extra-curricular activities as well.
He is a boon to his family and society and due to his habits, he is popular among his fellow students, teachers, and other friends. I am proud of our friendship and a source of inspiration and strength. I want to make it a long-lasting relationship and I am very lucky to have a friend like him.
