Essay on Hindi Language in English in 200 words
The script of Hindi is “Devanagari”, which is combined with many other Indian languages. There should be no doubt that Hindi is the second most spoken language in the world after Chinese. A large population living in India uses the Hindi language as its common colloquial language. The Hindi language originated from the ancient Sanskrit language and most of its words come from Sanskrit. When India became independent, our constitution makers established Hindi in place of the state language for official work on the national language of the country. Therefore Hindi is the national language of the country.
Hindi Country’s Contact Language
Hindi has fought for freedom, and Hindi has connected North to South. It is the only contact language of India. Through Hindi, any person can run his work in any corner of India. It is spoken as a very popular language in Hindi-speaking provinces, but it is also commonly spoken or understood in non-Hindi-speaking provinces.
Hindi can be understood by everyone in any province in the south. People in Andhra, Karnataka, Kerala, and Goa understand Hindi very well. If the survey is done honestly, then 80% of the people in the whole of India can understand Hindi speaking, but the environment has become such that on the occasion of census people do not even write about knowing the Hindi language. Hindi literature has given birth to many great litterateurs now. It has been fully developed in all disciplines. Kabir, Sur, Tulsi, Bihari, etc., have been the sons of the ancient poet Hindi. Hindi has produced modern litterateurs like Bhartendu, Dwivedi, Prasad, Maithilisharan Gupta, Pant, Mahadevi Varma, Dinkar, Premchand, etc. Work is going on at a rapid pace in all the disciplines of literature continuously in Hindi.
Under Article 343 of the Constitution, Hindi has been made the official language of the country for official purposes. According to Article 350, it is the responsibility of the Central Government to always make efforts for the promotion and spread of Hindi. The central government has so far failed to promote Hindi even after its approval in the constitution. In Hindi-speaking states, it is used a little for government work.
Indifference to Self-Language
Despite Hindi being a rich and popular language in our country, the apathy of our rulers and administrators towards it is proving fatal for the country. There is no small or big country in the world that has made self-language so neglected. Even after being approved by the constitution of our country, the English language has got a prestigious place by not doing the work of popular Hindi rich language. So much fascination for English and indifference towards Hindi has increased even after the independence of the country. The leaders of our country have made Hindi a toy of their protest for the sake of their petty health.
Consequences of Self-Language Conflict
Anyone who is indifferent to their language is also indifferent to their self-culture. Those who do not love their language and culture do not love their country and society. A child who is educated through the medium of English considers the English language to be great for the western culture and inferior to the Indian language and culture. That’s why they consider Indian people inferior as well.
In our place, only those who consider the Indian language, culture, and people dear and consider English dear to their lives, get high administrative posts. As a result, there is not even a trace of national sentiment in them. They do not consider the damage to the nation as their own loss, so corruption is encouraged. Honesty and sympathy towards the public end. Loyalty to the nation is not even a mere name. The progress of the country stops. This is the reason that even after such a long period of independence, we are today the poorest nation. This is the reason why our national unity and integrity are in danger.

If really our leaders want to save the country, then they should leave the attachment to foreign language and get attached to self-language and self-culture. To bring equality in education, English medium schools should be abolished. Hindi is the national language and state language of the country’s constitution, by giving it its prestigious place, it should fulfill the oaths taken towards the constitution. The leader who has pledged allegiance to the Constitution breaks his promise by opposing the language accepted by the Constitution. The people of India should also do every work of their daily life in Hindi. The government should give due respect to Hindi by fulfilling its full responsibility.
